103RD STREET
LOS ANGELES
In 2023, Unique Places Builders took on the challenge of legalizing an unpermitted addition at the rear of a residence. The structure was not code-compliant or safe, and the property lacked legal parking access. The team created a comprehensive plan to legalize the addition, introduce a new curb cut, and develop a 65-foot driveway with two side-by-side parking stalls. Despite a lengthy seven-month permitting process due to multiple violations, construction was completed in just four months and the final permit was successfully approved.
Located in the heart of South Los Angeles, the 103rd Street Project represents a bold and thoughtful rehabilitation of an existing structure — transforming it from a worn, underutilized property into a refreshed, functional space ready to serve the community and thrive in today’s real estate market.
This full-scale renovation includes structural updates, electrical and plumbing modernization, and comprehensive interior and exterior improvements. Our team has approached every detail with care and precision, preserving the building’s foundational integrity while elevating its form and function.
The project is not just about revitalizing a building — it’s about reinvigorating the surrounding area. With a strong emphasis on quality craftsmanship, efficiency, and modern aesthetics, the rehabilitation of 103rd Street demonstrates our commitment to creating enduring spaces that serve both residents and investors alike.
From improved infrastructure to fresh finishes, this building is being reborn as a cornerstone for opportunity in an evolving neighborhood. It’s the kind of project that reflects our mission: to breathe new life into spaces with purpose, passion, and long-term vision.
